Today, 23.3.2011, Israel coordinated the entry of an 8-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy who were injured by IDF fire yesterday in Sajayah neighborhood in the Gaza Strip.
Last night, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Maj. Gen. Eitan Dangot, and the Head of the District Coordination and Liaison in Gaza, Colonel Moshe Levi, contacted senior Palestinian Authority officials and PA representatives in Gaza, offering Israel’s help in granting medical assistance.
The 8-year-old boy was transported to Kaplan Hospital in Rechovot for medical treatment.
The 3-year-old boy was transported to Alahli Hospital in Hebron.
The Spokesperson for the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories notes that during 2010, about 18,000 patients and accompanying individuals were permitted to exit Gaza for medical treatment in hospitals in Israel, in the West Bank, and in East Jerusalem.
