Due to a severe shortage of fuels in the Gaza Strip, Israel activated the land crossings in particular the Kerem Shalom today for the immediate transfer of 450 thousand liters of diesel and gasoline, which will be moved by 10 tankers to the Gazan power station, which has been disabled for the past few weeks.

Fuel transfer will be permitted due to the hard and fast staff work performed by the Coordination and Liaison Administration in Gaza, coordinated with the PA, the Southern Command, the Authority of land crossings and the “Dor” energy company.

The Gaza power plant provides about a third of the power supply to the Gaza Strip, and the lack of the plant’s operation in recent weeks severely damaged the fabric of life and daily life of Gazan civilians.
