Clothing and textiles destined for England were exported from Gaza today. This export is part of the ongoing implementation of the Israeli Government decision to support moderate exports from Gaza to foreign markets, specifically in the textile, furniture and agricultural industries.
Today, the Coordination and Liaison Administration coordinated the passage of 2,000 sweaters from the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing. The clothing is expected to be delivered to the Port of Ashdod on its way to England.
Today’s textile export was part of the growing Gazan export industry to overseas markets. During the current season, more than 600 tons of strawberries, 250 tons of tomatoes, 50 tons of pepper and approximately 9,000,000 units of flowers were exported. An additional export of furniture was transferred for an exhibition in Jordan.
