This installation will enable a 30% increase in commerce between the Palestinian Authority and foreign markets. This particular project is part of the wider effort to promote the private Palestinian sector in Judea and Samaria and Gaza, while maintaining the security interests of the State of Israel.”
On February 26, 2012, the Governments of Israel and the Netherlands signed on a joint declaration regarding the installation of a merchandise X-Ray machine at Allenby Bridge Crossing and eventually also at Kerem Shalom Crossing.
