On May 16th, 2013 the Israeli Supreme Court Rejected  Petition HCJ 1868/13, submitted by Mr. Yosef Ezra, requesting that a building in Hebron, known as Beit Ezra, be returned to him.

The petition, which was submitted after a ruling by the Court in HCJ 1868/13 that led to the buildings avacuation, claimed that Ezra is the legal beneficiary of the historic owner (pre- 1948)

The Supreme Court, rejected the petition, for a number of reasons, including that, it was, too general, did not present a legal basis for its claims or a legal cause of action.

The State’s response to the petition was not requested by the Court.
