Today, December 18th 2014, defendant Amal Ahmed was charged in the Military Court of Judea and Samaria with two counts of attempt to cause intentional death and a count of knife possession.
According to the indictment, the defendant took a kitchen knife 30cm long, and rode the bus towards Gush Azyon. Upon arrival, the defendant noticed Yehoshua Lorch standing in the transit stop, while leaning over the ledge of a car window and conversing with the passengers. The defendant approached Yehoshua behind his back, withdrew the knife from within her clothes, and stabbed Yehoshua in his nape. A passer-by witnessing the event shoved the defendant, causing her to trip and drop the knife. The defendant attempted to flee the area, but was captured by IDF soldiers.
