November 2014 witnessed an increase in the number of attacks compared to last month: 214, as opposed to 153 in October. In addition, there was an increase in the number of casualties: 9 deaths (6 civilians and 3 members of security forces) and 29 injuries (16 civilians and 13 members of the security forces). The increase was mainly noted in Judea and Samaria with 166 terror attacks, as opposed to 103 in October; the Gaza Strip kept a record of one attack as in September and October. In Jerusalem a slight decrease was noted in the number of attacks: 46 compared to 49 in October; although the number of attacks was decreased we have noted a surge in their severity. On November 18 a stabbing and shooting attack was carried out on a Jerusalem synagogue resulting in the death of 4 civilians and one policeman; 10 civilians were injured.

In addition, 2 vehicular assaults were executed on November 5: one on Shimon HaTzadik St. in Jerusalem causing the death of one civilian and one border patrol policeman and the injury of 11 civilians. The second vehicular assault was carried out close to al Arub, Hebron causing the injury of 3 soldiers: one of them was seriously injured and the other two slightly-medium.

Additional stabbing attacks on November 10: a soldier was killed from a stabbing attack at HaHagana train station in Tel Aviv; a female-civilian was killed at Alon Shvut junction in Gush Ezion; two civilians were injured.

Two other stabbing attacks in Jerusalem (on November 10 and 24) resulted in slight injuries of 3 civilians.

Following is a regional distribution of attacks: 1 attack from the Gaza Strip, (as in October); 166 attacks in the Judea and Samaria (103 in October); 46 attacks in Jerusalem (49 in October); 1 attack within the Green Line.

Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria area: Most attacks executed in November 181 out of 212 were in the form of firebombs (October: 127 out of 152).

High-trajectory launchings from Gaza Strip and Sinai

Throughout November 2014 no rockets or mortar shells were launched** from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, as opposed to October: one mortar shell was launched.

**Clarification: The number of launchings is the number of rockets/mortar shells actually launched during one high-trajectory fire attack. For example: one attack may include a salvo of three launchings, that is, three rockets/ mortar shells, and so it will be counted as one attack and three launchings.
