Naval activities in the Peace for Galilee war were highlighted by amphibious operations. In the first days of the war, the Navy succeeded in landing the Paratroopers as well as armor artillery and logistic on the Lebanese coast near the Awali River estuary. Missile boats, Dabur fast patrol boats, landing craft and submarines constituted naval forces which supported the IDF ground operations along the coastal axis.
